One of Splinter’s primary focuses is acting as a Fiscal Sponsor. We do this to support deeply aligned projects so they can access grants, utilize our payroll and administrative structures, and incubate projects. We began acting as a fiscal sponsor to respond to a deep community need, and have since built out a roster of impressive projects, programs, and organizations doing amazing work in Arizona. Fiscal sponsorship allows these programs to focus on their essential work, while remaining financially transparent and in compliance with regulations. We are proud to support these projects and their work as a vital part of Splinter’s mission.
What is Fiscal Sponsorship?
Fiscal Sponsorship is an arrangement in which aligned projects utilize the 501c3 status, financial and organizational infrastructure of another organization to support their mission, apply for grants, and accept donations. The fiscal sponsee is considered, essentially, a program of the parent organization, but is independent in terms of program objectives and operations.
How do I apply?
Splinter offers Fiscal Sponsorship at a 7.5% admin cost for grant funds, and a lower 3% admin cost for donations directed through Givebutter, our donation platform. We welcome new projects, established organizations, and individual artists, at any budget level.
