Vic(tor) Valencia is a multi disciplinary artist, maker, and activist. He specializes in wood and metal sculpture and furniture design (you’ve seen his work in the Splinter courtyard’s outdoor furniture, accessibility infrastructure, and the bar.) He recently started Building Out Safer Spaces (B.O.S.S.), along side TC Tolbert, who is a board member with Splinter. B.O.S.S. is a community skill sharing project that aims to build woodworking skills for women, trans, queer, and femme of center folks in Tucson. He’s also been instrumental in the Outlaw Project’s tiny home construction project, where they are building a timber frame house for trans women of color. When he’s not building, scheming, and dreaming, you can likely find Victor riding his bike on the river path, or out on the town with his pup, Chido, pirched on his shoulder.
