Thanks for your interest in booking an event with Splinter! If your group aligns with Our Mission and wants to host workshops, skill shares, events, or training sessions in the space, we’re here to support you. We prioritize serving our community, and we offer both retail rates and community rates to accommodate different needs. Take a look at this page to learn more about who we are, and what we offer in terms of booking. When you’re done, you’ll find a contact form at the bottom of this page that will get you in contact with our booking team.
Spaces we have available:
- Studio Nueve: This 650 sq ft space comes with a small darkroom/sink area and plenty of natural light during the day. You can set up tables and chairs to suit your needs. Just keep in mind that there’s a slight incline in the center of the room, so the whole room is not fully accessible for everyone. It has a skylight and a small window for natural light, and fluorescent ceiling lights and fans.
- Studio Cinco: This 500 sq ft space is our production room and serves as our green room. It’s quirky and full of sound equipment, couches, mirrors and chairs. It has a skylight for natural light and fluorescent ceiling lights and a few lamps.
- Courtyard: Check out the Location Gallery to see this fantastic outdoor space. It features a stage, a bar area, benches, tables, and a multi-colored LED lighting system. Just keep in mind that we’re located near train tracks, so trains pass by frequently. Because we are outside, we are also subject to the elements! To mitigate the weather, we have shade sails, propane heaters, electric heaters, fans and a fire pit, but there is little that we can do about rain and other weather.
- Splinter Movement Space: This 1000 sq ft circus oriented, fully matted gym and movement space is available for classes, DIY workouts and the occasional show. Splinter Movement Space is our largest indoor space.
Rental Rates And Split Options
Straight Rentals:
- Studio Nueve: $25/hour + 12% Admin Fee
- Courtyard: $100-$1000/hour depending on staffing, equipment, and other needs
- Movement Space: $25/hour + 12% Admin Fee (no mat removal)
- $50-$300/hour + 12% Admin Fee (if mats are removed – inquire)
Split Options:
- 80/20 Split of the door after hard costs (staffing, propane, admin, etc.) This option tends to suit folks who have a built in audience and expect a decent turn out. You keep 80%, we keep 20% (after costs).
- 50/50 Split from dollar one. This option tends to suit folks who aren’t sure about their turn out and would like to take on less risk. We split the door 50/50, with no costs up front.
- Door split plus percentage of the bar after costs. We offer this option for deeply aligned organizations in certain circumstances, like large fundraiser events for your organization or fundraiser for a specific, pressing social cause. Tell us about your situation!
Community Rental Options:
- We offer sliding scale and work trade options during off-peak hours for our Beloved Members and community groups that resonate with our spirit. We’re open to talking with you about what truly works for you, and while our staff support may be limited for these rentals, we’re committed to finding solutions that suit your needs. For these events, the use of volunteers is paramount to keeping your costs down and we highly recommend you do so.
Support, infrastructure, and staffing options
- We have a variety of setups for infrastructure, sound, projection, lighting and staffing.
- Please see our Equipment Rental options for sound, lighting, tables, chairs, projection equipment etc. details.
- Unless otherwise noted, we take care of the breakdown and clean-up of chairs and tables, bar, bathroom, and the general space.
- You are responsible for basic clean up. Please leave the space better than you found it.
Marketing
- We are not professional producers. However, we are happy to help promote your event via our newsletter, sms messages, and/or IG stories.
- We can also create promotional materials like fliers, set up a ticketing platform, silent auction, raffle, or sponsorship package for you to circulate. This service is offered for additional costs. Check out our Marketing packages below.
- We can sometimes assist in finding vendors, performers/artists, and food options based on your needs
Marketing

Social Media Promotion Package: starting $100 flat fee PLUS $60/hour
- Flyer designed by our graphics design team (whichever sizes you need for posting on socials)
- Your event posted once to our Instagram grid
- Ticket sales link in our LinkTree (link in bio)
- Listed on our Events page on the website (you provide the link)
- Two SMS text messages (one sent the day before the event)
- We will send out a dedicated newsletter just for your event
Ticket Sales Package: starting at $75 (this cost is waived for our beloved members)
You let us know the cost of your tickets
Givebutter ticket sales (this is a multifaceted platform we use that has lower overhead costs than other sites — like EventBrite for instance)
You provide a cover image and a blurb
MEMBERSHIP
Splinter Collective is a membership based social club. This means that members read through our values and expectations, and sign that they agree to uphold Splinter’s values while in our space. For those selecting the retail option, no membership is necessary; for all other events, we require you to become a member. It’s easy!
ACCESSIBILITY:

Parking: We have ample parking on the street, and a few spots in the lot to the south of the building. Overflow parking can be directed to Estevan Park. There are no sidewalks. We do not have permanently dedicated Disabled parking spots – please reach out in advance if you would like us to reserve a spot near the entrance for Disabled parking for your event.
Lighting: The light on the street is dim. There is more lighting inside the venue, including a flood light at the entrance. There are lights on the stage and throughout the courtyard that can be adjusted for both brightness and color.
Courtyard: The courtyard is all one level with compacted decomposed granite substrate. There is a slight downgrade from east to west. It is fully outside, so there is minimal temperature control for individuals sensitive to heat or cold. Seasonally, we provide outdoor heaters, a fire pit, misters, shade structures, and fans.
Stage: The stage is about 2.5 feet high, and has two access points. Stage left has two large steps up. Stage right has an ADA compliant concrete ramp with a rail on the right-hand side, and a steel fence on the left hand side.
Noise: There are very loud train whistles sometimes due to our proximity to the railroad tracks. We offer ear plugs at every event.
Bathrooms: The bathroom is a freestanding outbuilding. It has 2 stalls; both stalls have a grab bar on the right. Door handles are ADA compliant.
Translation: We at times include ASL and Spanish translation, QR codes or captioning for text, and virtual options such as zoom, youtube live, and Instagram live. This is still a work in progress. We have not fully implemented these things at most events and appreciate learning, resources, and the input and labor of folks helping us build this. If you would like to provide things at your event, we may be able to connect you with professional interpreters, virtual hosts, and livestream tech folks.
