SUMMARY:Survive Summer Sale!
DESCRIPTION:We’ll be holding a rummage sale in order to raise money for our work at Estevan Park. For those whoa aren’t aware of our park project\, here is a very brief overview of what we do\, and why it’s important:  We are striving to make life for our unhoused neighbors living behind the park more comfortable and safe by distributing supplies such as tents\, warm clothes\, hygiene kits\, narcan\, and other necessities. We also employ four people to monitor the bathrooms at the park and ensure that they are clean\, stocked\, usable\, and remain unlocked. As we secure more funding and our team grows\, we will set up a mobile shower unit for use by the folks living in the encampment. Our ultimate goal is for all the residents of the camp to find secure housing\, and we see this project as a temporary\, emergency response to fill an urgent need.  \nWe get reimbursements from the City of Tucson for this work\, but we need to fundraise for it first and pay for everything upfront. So why not come out\, bring your friends\, and buy some cooky goodies while supporting your community? And  you know how we do things at Splinter\, it’s gonna be a little bit of a party 😉 \nCheck out our instagram for updates on what kind of goods you’ll find there!

DESCRIPTION:This event has been cancelled due to lack of sign ups. This 2-day workshop will introduce you to the basics of Sign Painting. You will learn to paint two basic styles of lettering with a brush and will get familiar with the tools and tricks of the trade. The workshop is designed for beginners\, no previous experience is required and all skill levels are welcome! \nAt the end of the workshop you will walk away not only with new skills and a wooden hand-painted sign of your own but also with a basic kit with all the supplies for you to keep on practicing. \nThe basic kit includes:\n– Lettering brush\n– Enamel paint bottle\n– Aluminum mahl stick by EXCEL\n– Pounce wheel by EXCEL\n– Stabilo pencil\n– Printed posters with practice strokes\n– Printed posters with practice alphabets\n– Digital Zine with all the information reviewed during the workshop \nClass goes from 10am to 6pm both days.\nVery limited spots\, refunds will only be issued if there’s a wait list to fill your spot.
